India Food Prices Continue to Rise

After the events of the last few weeks, it seems clear that we no longer have to convince anyone that the food crisis is real, and is going to have far reaching affects across the globe.  The next issue is to understand how the global economy and the U.S. will be affected.  We will be posting articles on this and our commentary in the near future, but for now we want to share a video from an Indian TV outlet on the rising food prices in that very important country.  Keep in mind that when prices begin to rise, and are expected to rise in the future, prices can skyrocket quickly as people panic and begin to hoard. Governments usually try to implement price fixing, which only results in rationing, long lines, black markets and increased unrest.  It truly is a vicious and dangerous cycle of events.
