Wii U supports 3D!
According to Satoru Iwata from Nintendo, the Wii U is going to support 3D-playback. Looks like they're heading the same way as they did with the 3DS.
But the fine distinction is that this time, the company doesn't specify on the 3D effect. Nintendo says, they only put 3D support in their console for the case that it gets very popular in the future. For example if their biggest competitors Sony and Microsoft would take this step with the PlayStation 4 or the Xbox 720, Nintendo wouldn't have to lag behind.

Wii U not before April 1st!
According to Reggie Fils-Aime, president of Nintendo America, the Wii U is going to be launched "after April 1st". Well, to our mind, that is not too long. But of course, no one knows what exactly is meant by "after". We at California's Gadgets expect it to be released sometime in summer next year. But the release is not the only thing Reggie Fils-Aime talked about. Read on for more.
We also found out that the Wii U could even stream videos etc. to the controllers display. Well, at least the hardware is capable of it. It's up to Nintendo to configure the software. We would sure like to stream some movie from Netflix while having a break of gaming. Stay tuned.

Confirmed: Only one Wii U controller each console!
One of THE questions was answered: The Wii U will only support one controller each console! Iwata explained that the console is actually able to support multiple Wii U controllers but it simply would be to expensive. Hmm... what happens if the controller gets broken? Do we have to wait until Nintendo sends you a substitution? That's not cleared, yet...and what about the other players? Well, they have to use the good old Wiimotes from the Wii.

Wii U won't gulp DVDs or Blu-rays
Yes, you've read that just fine. According to Nintendo's president Satoru Iwata, the company's new console will not sport a drive capable of playing DVDs or high-resolution Blu-ray-discs. Wíth this, Nintendo sticks with their decision they already made years ago with the Wii. They want a pure gaming console. Well, one the one hand, we think that's pretty outdated for a future device but on the other hand, we have to admit that Nintendo really did make the most profit with their Wii. We'll see if the Wii U can live up to that earlier success.
New pics from the Wii U!
Curious about how the Wii U will look like? Bored from the same E3 front pics? Here we just found two new... including the back! So, are there any surprises? No... actually, yes there is! The back reveals the HDMI-Port but where is the Ethernet-port? Is the Wii U wifi only? Maybe... maybe not. We believe the Nintendo will produce an ethernet adapter which will be connected with one of the USB-Ports....

The heart of the Wii U - finally revealed
IBM finally let the cat out of the bag. And in this case, the cat is a Radeon GPU with a chip similar to the R770 we know from AMD's last-gen cards, for example the 4890. But don't lose interest too fast, folks!
Just think about the Xbox 360 and the PS3, both sporting five-year-old hardware, still providing stunning graphics. Further on, Nintendo's upcoming console supports Direct X 10.1 and according to Crytek, its advanced CryEngine "pretty much" runs on the Wii U. If running Crysis isn't convincing enough, what is?
